virtual port for sony pcsuite

Hello everyone.  I read somewhere that an error I get on my comp is caused by the PC Suite software provided with sony ericsson cell phones.  The person said that creating a virtual port will trick the software into seeing an open port all the time, and no system error as a result.  So I downloaded Virtual Serial Port Control and then Visual C++ 2008 express to use it, but after 3 hours of reading tutorials etc I have no idea how to make this work.  Can anyone please help me?  I run Vista 32-bit on my comp.  Thank you for your time.

Hi,
Let's try simpler solution. Please download our Virtual Serial Port Kit:
http://www.virtual-serial-port.com
It allows to create pairs of virtual serial ports.
All you need to know now, is the number of COM port you need to create.

Thanks.

Hey Andrew I just wanted to say thank you, that seems to have fixed it.  Sony-Ericsson tech line was absolutely no help.  Thanks again, you're a lifesaver.
